Despite what the media are reporting, demand for property locally is still as high as ever. In fact, during the month of August we have registered a record number of new buyers all urgently seeking a home to buy in the locality.
In fact, our own office data shows that new buyers registered is up on this time last year by 22% and new sales agreed are up similarly by 18%.
This continuing trend of buyer demand met by a lack of new homes coming to market points to house prices continuing to hold firm over the coming few months. The media may well be reporting doom and gloom on what seems to be almost on an hourly basis with scary predictions for almost every industry, but when we look at hard data and facts, we do not see any evidence of such a bleak outlook.
