Real Life Success Stories - Victory Lane, Ashingdon

Back to news

Peter's house was immaculate.  He had lived there for the last ten years, over that time had meticulously maintained and improved the property to create a wonderful home.  Sadly, having recently been widowed, he had made the decision that it was now time to move into a flat within a retirement community so he could meet likeminded people and make new friends.

PROPERTY ADDRESS: Victory Lane, Ashingdon

ASKING PRICE: £315,000

SALE PRICE - Full Asking Price

NUMBER OF VIEWINGS - 11

TIME ON MARKET - 10 Days

WHAT WE DID:

The first thing we did was listened.  We listened to what our seller wanted to achieve and what timescale he wanted to move within.  He told us he wanted a quick sale and didnt want to have to conduct viewings and explain to people why he was moving.

We formulated a marketing plan which would involve us carrying out an open day event meaning he would only have viewings taking place on one day and he didnt have to be there.  We arranged the launch day of the property to take place 10 ten days prior to the open day to enable us enough time to market the property fully and reach the optimum number of potential buyers via the property portals, via our social media channels and through our own telephone & marketing work.

THE RESULT:

Within the ten day run up to the open day we had scheduled eleven proceedable buyers to view the property on the open day.  Proceedable means that all the buyers were in a position to proceed and proceed within our sellers time frame.  Following the open day we then received several offers and ultimately agreed a sale at the full asking price to the buyer able to fit in with our sellers expectations.

Peter has now moved into his new apartment and is loving his new life style.  The buyers are also delighted with their new home.
