REAL LIFE SUCCESS STORIES - Leicester Avenue, Rochford

We first met Sandra, the owner of a lovely bungalow in Leicester Avenue, Rochford just before last Christmas.  She had been marketing her home with a very well known online estate agency for several months with very few viewings and no offers to purchase within this time.  She was hoping to sell what was her family home , but the lack of interest was causing undue delays and stress for all the family. Furthermore, she had already paid the online estate agent up front so felt incredibly agrieved that after all this time there was so little interest.

On our initial meeting we suggested a marketing plan that would combine both the online element of estate agency and the traditional method - As, in our opinion, the traditional "people" element was perhaps what was missing from the marketing to date. Moreover we also explained that with traditional agents like us, we wouldn't charge any fee until such time as a sale was agreed and the transaction had exchanged and completed.

We began marketing a few days after new year, prepared a very eye catching advert for the property portals and social media and began speaking to our registered buyers to initiate some viewings.  In just a few weeks a buyer was found and it was actually a buyer we had registered on our database who we spoke to about this property a number of times before they viewed, offered and subsequently purchased the property.

Sandra has now finally moved out of the family home and in with her daughter and couldn't be happier. 

If you are considering selling a home locally, we would urge you to chose a proactive traditional estate agency that know their buyers inside out and works with them closely.  Undoubtedly, the housing market has toughened slightly over recent months and simply using an estate agent who is, basically a property portal listing service will almost certainly, only lead to frustration and disappointment.
